Itinerary Overview
Manipal is a town near Udupi, located 5.6 kilometres from the centre of the city in Udupi district of the state of Karnataka.
This lovely coastal town is the home of Manipal academy of higher education. It stands off the shores and the rocky surroundings of the malabar coast in south India.
We took a bus to Manipal and reached in the wee hours of the day. I was accompanied by a friend from school.
After a long but relaxing journey we camped at a friend's place and went for breakfast.
However the benefits of being in a student city is there are lot of party places and we happen to be finding ourselves a lot at these places where you can meet scholars who are party goers from all around the world, along with fun there was always room for knowledge sharing although after a month I realised it was time for me to hit the north along the west coast.
Reached Gokarna by bus in the morning and crashed at the beach near our hostel as check in time was 11. After taking rest for couple of hours I passed remaining time by playing football on the beach. Later I had lunch at Bhagwan cafe, the food was good. The very next day I was to go beach hopping so I decided to lay low and chill.
After Lunch, I left for the The Gokarna Beach trek. We took a ferry ride to the paradise beach and started to hike along the coast. It is the best way to explore Gokarna and experience its true beauty.
Arrived Half Moon Beach and met two Swedish girls and an American guy, they offered me a kombucha (Tea fermented using a symbiosis of bacteria and yeast) . After refreshments they showed me their campsite where we danced, drank, laughed.
The whole trail is easily identifiable and there are several graffiti and markers along the way.
Reached in the morning by bus straight away I went to Arambol then checked in to La la land called Namahstay Hostel.
Apart from the beaches and the calmness Goa has a lot different to offer in the night as its nightlife is quite happening as being Shiva valley is one of the most popular party places in Goa. On most Tuesdays. Trance at Shiva Valley which often last all night long, Reggae at Riva and Techno At Rock Waters
However having said all that the best which Goa has to offer is Undergoa as one the best techno parties happen here. It's not just a party it's an experience.
