Highs & Lows

Incredible views and nature

A lot of other tourists during this time of year

Itinerary Overview

Two days of nature and travel in Emek Harod. First day we arrived early in the morning to our cabins in Kibbutz Ein Harod Ihud, and there we already got a glimpse of the beautiful view of the Harod Valley from the cabins terrace. We spent some time in the Kibbutz, walked around and met many lovely people and felt the peaceful energy of this area. After we got a little more familiar with the Kibbutz we went drown for a swim in the Olympic pool that the cabins offer access to, it was well maintained and also had a beautiful view. Later that afternoon went to a stunning lookout point on Mount Gilboa. The next day we went for a wet trail in the waters of Nahal Hakibutzim, and stayed at the cabins of the stunning Kibbutz Nir David. All in all it was a great weekend, full of activities and nature.

We arrived at the ein harod ihud huts early Friday morning. We unpacked our things, put on our bathing suits and went out to relax in the Olympic swimming pool to which the cabins offer access, it was a very good rest time for our body, we were able to sunbathe and do some physical activity while we continued Resting. After that, we took a shower and drove to see the beauty of the valley from a viewpoint on Mount Gilboa called Katef Shaul, the view is so beautiful that it brought us a very special state of peace and harmony. We were even able to see an image in the field made with the crops that apparently are created every year, they have a special time to bloom and others, in addition to this the view was incredible and it was only a 15 minute drive from the cabins, the tour It is very short and fast. We went out to dinner at a restaurant called Kimel in Gilboa and returned to sleep in the cabin.

The next day we moved to a different location and checked in the the cabins of Kibbutz Nir David. The cabins are located right in front of a beautiful river that crosses the Kibbutz. After a quick swim in the river, we  decided to go to a river near by called Nahal Hakibutzim. We drove about 5 minutes and got to the parking lot. From the parking lot we walked on a sunny path for ten minutes and got to the beginning of the wet trail. The wet trail is a walk through the waters of the river, its about 1.5 k long and in the water it took us about 2 hours to complete. Of course we took many stops to admire the view and once in a while even jump in the water from a rope that was connected to a tree branch. We went back to the cabin for lunch at the dining room packed up our things and headed home. It was an amazing experience, a lot of nature and tranquility.
