Itinerary Overview

We flew into Santiago de Chile and stayed at Santiago Marriott Hotel for two nights. This a luxury hotel located in the commune of Los Condes, right near the Parque Araucano. This is a capital city, which most of its population is concentrated in the city and not in its surroundings. It is divided in approximately in 40 communes, and it is a perfect city to walk around, because of the parks you can find, but also taking the city tour bus is a very good option, as we did in this city, we choose both options because of the short time we stayed in the city. Until this point it is worth mentioning that this first step you can find warm weather in December. Next step was travelling by car to San Antonio, Chile, we went to a vineyard located in Casablanca Valley, where we made a little tour through the production area and finally, we taste some different wines. After this little stop, we went directly to the cruise port, due to a 15 cruise travel we decided to take. Through this journey we visited, Puerto Montt, which is a city/port/commune in Chile, with spectacular views because it is a way of access to the Cordillera de los Andes and to the Patagonia fjords, and due to the lakes, that are nearby. Next step was Puerto Chocabuco, which is a village in Chile, and the most important seaport in the region. In this place we decided to go by car to Puerto Aysén, because we heard before of the wonderful landscapes in this village, and it was not so far, also because in this Chocabuco port there were not many things to do.

Then, we arrive to Argentina, our second location, into Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, located in the Patagonia. In this place we went to visit the National Park “Tierra del Fuego”, where we walked through the end of the world forest, which was unforgettable. After one day of sailing the high seas, crossing the Beagle Channel, we arrived at Puerto Madryn in Argentina, which was one of our favorite places, as long as we could see huge number of penguins near us, took photos without harming them or disrupt their environment and see how they coexist. Until this point, weather was very cold, windy and rainy days were always present, also we were at the middle point of our whole jorney. One more day of high sea, and then we arrived at Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay, where now weather was warm, which was amazing for us, because we love this kind of climate, not so cold not so stifling, perfect for walking around for sightseeing. In this city we rent a van with a tourist guide, for knowing the most things we could in the little time we could be in this place, and it was incredible, this city is so organized and with so many parks and walking trails. Finally, at the next day we arrived at Buenos Aires, in Argentina, were we finished our cruise trip. At Buenos Aires, we stayed two nights in a hotel called Le B Club Boutique & Terrase, which was nearby the most prominent commercial area of the city, so we went walking through the city searching for a restaurant where we could taste the excellent Argentine cuisine. Finally, we enter one of the numerous restaurants we find, and we tried the delicious meat was prepared in here. At night, we went to a Tango show, in a place called Sr. Tango, where we could watch how this dance influenced all the Argentine culture, and how the women’s sensuality is shown as the most precious attribute of them.

After these two days at Buenos Aires, we took a flight to arrive to Rio de Janeiro in Brasil, which was our third location, where we stayed three nights, at the Windsor Oceanico hotel, nearby Barra de Tijuca beaches. In this city we went to “Pan de Azúcar”. To arrive we had to rent a van to drive to the parkway in which you leave your vehicle and take a cableway to there. The view in this place was incredible, you can see a huge part of the city. Also, we visited the Christ the Redeemer and the favelas. This experience was so excited due to the enormous monument they have in here of Christ redeemer, and the different culture you can see in the favelas. Finally, one of the best things throughout all the trip was trying all the food.
