Itinerary Overview
Arrived in the evening with bus from San José. We didn't have much planned going here, just exploring the area and see if we would find it nice enough to stay longer.
Puerto Viejo de Talamanca Exploring
Nice little location with a nice basketball court just by the water near the center. It was rainseason while we visited and therefore the weather wasn't predictable, but overall sunny and warm. Seemed to be a location where it wasn't to easy to get to know new people, not that personal compared to other places we had visited in Costa Rica. This might have been due to us only staying for three nights as well.
Punta Uva Explore
Nice bike ride, about 25 minutes away from the center of Puerto Viejo. There are really nice supermarkets where you can buy snacks for the incredible nice beach at Punta Uva.

Bike is nice but car/moped will probably open up more doors and you are more flexible.
Lodging
El faro 13. The staff was nice but everything else was pretty bad. Really filthy rooms that smelled like sewage drains, the bedsheets were really dirty as well. We didn't want to spend any time in our rooms. Kitchen was really filthy as well .
