Highs & Lows

You should definitely canoe on the beautiful lakes!

There are a lot of mosquitoes, so even though it’s hot you should wear covering clothes

Itinerary Overview

We arrived around noon in Oslo and rented a car to drive to Sweden. The first night we stayed in a very basic cabin in the mountains (close to Lekvattnet) and the next nights we stayed in an Airbnb in Lekvattnet. Our Airbnb host fixed the night in the basic cabin in the mountains for us as the Airbnb itself wasn’t available yet. The wooden cabin was situated in the middle of nowhere and gave us the real “back to basics” experience. When staying in the Airbnb itself we only had to cross the streets to reach the lake and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. We went hiking, canoeing, swimming, and mountain biking

this was a great adventure where we enjoyed the family and nature, a vacation full of calm and good energy. !

  • 1 Night: Lekvattned
We like to be in the nature to enjoy the rest and peacefulness.
  • 6 Nights: Lekvattned
Beautiful nature to go hiking, canoeing, mountain biking …

Q & A

  • What would you have changed?

I would add a hiking trip with a night spent in one of the free to use wooden cabins.

  • How was the food?

We ordered a dinner from our Airbnb host, who also had a farm. So we ate her self-made meet, cheese, crackers …

  • What tips would you give a friend?

Bring covering clothes to protect against mosquitoes and others insects.

  • Packing tips?

Again, covering clothes and other things against the mosquitoes

  • Transportation Tips?

You can reach everything by car, but be aware of the gravel roads from time to time.

  • Booking details?

Airbnb, I added a picture of the house so you will recognize it!

Lodging

  • The first night we stayed in a very basic cabin in the mountains (close to Lekvattnet). The host of our next Airbnb fixed the night in the basic cabin in the mountains for us as the Airbnb itself wasn’t available yet. The wooden cabin was situated in the middle of nowhere and gave us the real “back to basics” experience. For one night it’s a great experience, for longer it might be small and basic.
