Nice: A Perfect Blend of Nature, Culture, and Coastal Charm

Nice is one of my favorite cities on the Côte d'Azur in France because it combines everything I love: nature and the beach right next to each other, impressive architecture and a great cultural offer of museums, theaters and events.

On the first day, I strolled through the districts of Cimiez, Thiers and the New Town and let myself be carried away by the vibrancy of the city. 

The following day I strolled to the impressive old part of Nice (Vieux Nice) with its impressive baroque works. With music in my ears, I went through the narrow, colorful streets with their many small stores. Definitely a must-see in Nice!

Hiking enthusiasts also get their money's worth in Nice: the Mont-Baron invites you to take a nice quiet walk through the greenery above the harbor. From the viewing platform, you can enjoy the beautiful panorama over Nice and the surrounding bay. With signposted hiking trails, the Mont-Baron is the perfect place to enjoy the fresh air. In the evening, I strolled along Nice's harbor and rewarded myself with a delicious meal in a restaurant right on the waterfront.

On the fourth day, I took a break at Villefranche-sur-Mer beach, which is easy to reach by public transport. It's a smaller beach in a cute bay. It was the perfect place for me to relax with a book, even though it was a bit crowdy.

On the last day, I took a day trip to Menton, definitely one of my highlights! This colorful little town with its impressive harbor (see photo 4) was a fitting end to my trip to France! I also drove on to Monte Carlo and visited the huge casino.

I would definitely come back to Nice and can only recommend the city :D
