Highs & Lows

Our spa experiences, the restaurants/bars/shops around Tulum Beach, and exploring all the unique hotels.

The beaches had a good amount of seaweed when we went, but this is typically seasonal, and weather related.

Itinerary Overview

  • 8 Nights: Tulum
Beach time, exploring Tulum Beach and the hotels, Tulum Mayan Ruins, Spas

Q & A

  • Transportation Tips?

Talk to your hotel about arranging transportation from the airport since its about a two-hour drive from Cancun.

  • How was the food?

The food was AMAZING! So fresh and healthy and if you have food allergies or preferences (such as avoiding gluten or dairy) its very easy to navigate! The hotel has a delicious restaurant called The Real Coconut that has gluten-free, grain-free, dairy-free, and other healthy options!

  • Any surprises?

At just about every hotel, restaurant, or bar in the jungle you aren't allowed to flush the toilet paper! This was a surprise to me since I hadn't read any blogs or websites that talked about this.

Lodging

  • Sanara Tulum Gorgeous, boutique-style hotel! The property has a total of 19 rooms and has beachfront and jungle-side rooms.
