Highs & Lows

A good beer in Munich

Very possible that you will have some problems with "Deutsche Bahn" (german train)

Itinerary Overview

I started my trip in Frankfurt. Frankfurt is a big city but definitely not too big!

Besides the Skyline Frankfurt is a very green city with many beautiful parks and lovely small squares.

To have a nice walk the Main is perfect. It is the river in Frankfurt. You can explore the east and west port there. They are both very beautiful!

You can find great restaurants at both of these ports.

If you are interested in museums there are some very good ones: Senckenberg Museum (about Dinosaurs), Staedel (art), Jewish museum, Schirn Kunsthalle (art), museum for modern art

You should definitely visit the Palmengarten. It is a huge garden with many parks, a lake and a tropic house. Right next to it you can find the botanic garden. It is beautiful too!

Next stop: Munich

Munich is perfect for having a beer or lunch in a beer garden. The atmosphere is great and the beer tastes really good!

If you want to have a good view over the city I can recommend the terrace of the TU-Munich (university) and the church tower: „Alter Peter”.

The biggest park in Munich is the English garden. It's great to have a walk there. In summer you can swim a bit in the small rivers or just do some sunbathing.

Another beautiful place to relax or for having a picnic is the „Panzerwiese”. You can take the subway to get there.

And if you like vegan food you should visit Doctor Drooly! They make the best vegan pizza. But you should order before you get there (do it early enough). Sometimes they are sold out.

Last city: Hamburg

Hamburg is a big city with beautiful places to visit!

One of them is the „Außen-Alster”. It is like a lake with a fontaine. You can rent a boat or just sit at the water.

Just next to it you can find the „Arkaden” where you can do shopping or visit a nice restaurant.

Hamburg is also nice to do puddling because of the many canals!

One area I really like in Hamburg is the „Speicherstadt”. There you can find the famous opera: „Elbphilharmonie”.

Hamburg has some nice museums as well if you are interested in that: Miniatur Wunderland, internationales Maritimes Museum, Dialog im Dunkeln, U-Bootmuseum, museum of coffee, Panoptikum, Museum der Illusionen Hamburg ...

During summer you should definitely visit the „Beachclub Dock 3”! You can sit there in sand look at the „Elbe”, drink a cocktail and eat something as well if you want to.
