Highs & Lows

The Neuschwanstein Castle - A FAIRY CASTLE

A day at Munich Airport

Itinerary Overview

The whole adventure started the moment I landed in Munich (Germany)

MUNICH - I landed on a bright sunny day around noon and was looking for information center to board a bus to a small town in Braveria called Augsburg. Although while looking for postbus (bus service) office I naively left my luggage unattended  at terminal 2 and was back within minutes however by the time I reached found my stuff surrounded by sniffer dogs along with airport security. I got scared and petrified with the overwhelming situation however while I was still talking to cops about the whole situation one of the dogs jumps on to me and started licking me in a playful manner eventually clearing out the air between me and the cops. They evidently let me go with a great advise to not leave anything unattended.

Augsburg - well found the bus for 25 euro to Augsburg from Munich airport exploring the plain lush German country side while cursing along the famous Autobahn.

Neuschwanstein Castle  - The castle was nothing like I av seen before, it was pure  magic you can get around their by bla bla car which is fast and as cheap as 15 euro from Augsburg apparently the Disney logo was inspired by the castle itself

Ticket is available for 2.5 Euros for adult above 18 and free for minors.

Munich The legendary beer house

Munich - The legendary beer house - Hofbräuhaus am Platzl
Hofbräuhaus am Platzl

I went to Munich from Augsburg for a day trip to visit the oldest beer hall Hofbräuhaus am Platzl founded in 1589 by the Duke of Bavaria, Wilhelm V. It is one of Munich's oldest beer halls. It was founded as the brewery to the old Royal Residence and the interior was certainly breath taking with ample of space to accomodate your self. It is the place for some of the most exotic beers in the world while my time in there I was fortunate enough to have tasted augustiner helles a class of a beer available at 7 euros for a 750 ml glass

The bus cost me 25 euros to Munich from Augsburg as Munich being a metropolitan its easy to commute within the city however the city offers most exclusive buildings of all time with many ruins from II world war but the city itself is very overcrowded. All in all a great experience hanging out with veterans and oldies from Germany.

After spending 4 days in Augsburg with a local friend we decided to visit the castle, very first one of my life and I was very excited about it. The Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century romantic eclecticism palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The palace was commissioned by King Ludwig II of Bavaria as a retreat and in honor of Richard Wagner. The castle is along the valley of Rhine river at the foothills of Alps, being from an historically rich city I always had a thing for history and old establishments.

You can trek around the beautiful alps and higher you go the better it gets with serene view of the valley and the castle

Augsburg is one the smallest town in Bravarian state of Germany famous for its beer gardens and tranquil architecture with all the modern basic facilities. Places like SONN DEKK  can prove to be relaxed getaway with great vibe. One can commute In the town with trams very easily at an affordable price highest being 4 Euro depending upon the route .

Just right outside of Augsburg nature seems to be breath taking with river lech flowing from Poland with its chilled soothing water through dense forest around Augsburg. Fell in love with bravarian hospitality and its people.
