Lake of Iseo with my family

I visited this city, which gave the name to the lake, several times and always is a super nice  place to share some hours or day with the people you love, the perfect place to walk lakeside, eat a tipical Italian Gelato, eat a pizza or just enjoying the sun. Something that you would really enjoy is the boat trip. actually in this area boats are public transportation to move around, and one of them can take you to Montisola: which is an Island in the middle of the lake, full of restaurant and nice views of the lake. there you can rent a bike or do other activities at the open air. Some Gelato recommendation: stracciatella, pistacchio, ace, variegato alla nutella. Some pizza recommendation: bufalina col crudo, speck e brie, frutti di mare, pepperoni e salamino piccante. you can eat it with beer or a soft drink, I usually avoid to eat pizza with wine. after pizza a coffee, and after coffee an ammazzacaffè, ask for it!

A nice and quite place in which you can stay for a night, the place is perfect for families with children, there is a long boardwalk in which you can walk during the sunset, or in the night after dinner. I really enjoyed the time spent here. There is also a small park, with selvatic plants and artworks that match with the environment.  All around there are good restaurant ad some fast food, I always suggest typical food of the region or at least Italian food, and avoid fast food, it makes you feel part of the place. actually there are some Italian food that can be similar to fast food, so I recommend you a piadina rather than a burger. Piadina is like a wrap with ham and salad (generally not with meat such as chicken), my recommendation is the place called La Piadineria, but every place knows how to makes good piadinas. My recommendation: names change in resect of the place, but try the one with funghi and salsiccia, or prosciutto crudo (this is the traditional one!)

One of my favorite place in Lake Iseo, located on the nord of the lake, 30 km far from Iseo more or less, this is one of the most beautiful Italians 'Borgo'. this village present some building of different ages, and embody the essence of Italy: little roads, nice views, good food, in just a word: happiness. there is an historic square, and a little church entirely covered of gold! restaurants are really nice, I just to suggest you to avoid crowded days or at least remember to make a reservation, otherwise you'll end by waiting for hours for eating a pizza, as it happen to us! there are 2 roads to reach it from the lake: take the right one with highway if you want to arrive faster, take the left one if you want to have a more naturalistic experience (but be careful, because at certain points the road is very small and difficult to pass 2 cars) I really recommend this place if you visit lake of como, an half day is enough to feel some of his vibes.
