Highs & Lows

Try the local gastronomy. The only thing I do not recommend is Durian, a very strong smell and taste.

Always carry an umbrella with you, especially if you are going for a long walks.

Itinerary Overview

We spent 4 days in Kuala Lumpur, the airport in this city connects most of the flights within South East Asia and we had to go through there to get to our final destination so we decided to include this city in our vacation itinerary

If you have few days in this city like me, I will tell you what you cannot miss it.

Without a doubt the Petronas Towers is one of the greatest attractions of this wonderful city.Visit the KL Petronas Towers, but the towers are worth more than one visit, go both day and night. Walk on the skybridge that joins them, the view is perfect. Go up to level 86, there you will find a permanent, animated and digital exhibition of the Towers history.

The most recommended and cheap get the tickets on the official website.

Take an excursion: Batu Caves, the largest Hindu shrine outside of India. A perfect place to disconnect from the city. You can get there by public transport or on a paid tour that shouldn't cost more than $ 25 dollars per person. Bring cloths that covers your shoulders, chest, and legs when visiting the Batu Caves and be very careful with the monkeys, if you carry food (offerings) in plastic bags, the monkeys will surely steal it from you.

Go shopping at the Central Market: In addition to finding souvenirs, you will see several local artists offering their products at quite reasonable prices.

Eat some street food in Hutong: For your experience to be complete you should have a look for the local gastronomy. You will not regret.

Enjoy the view and dinner at high altitude: The Menara Tower is another iconic place in Kuala Lumpur, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Atmosfera 360 restaurant, the prices are between $ 30 - $ 70 dollars.

Spend a night out: Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle is full of upscale restaurants, bars, and shopping centres.

Public transport is very cheap and easy to use and connects with the entire city. But if you prefer, you can use Grab App transport very similar to Uber.

Find a hotel in the CBD, I recommend Ibis Kuala Lumpur City Center, good price with breakfast included, excellent view and central.

Come back again and again, Kuala Lumpur is sure to surprise you!.

The towers are the same day and night but to be honest at night there is a light show at the back and the lighting of the towers makes you enjoy better.

The towers are part of the Suria complex, there is a huge shopping center, a garden, a children's play area with swimming pools as well as water fountains where every night you can see the show I have mentioned above of lights and sounds.

If you are not staying in the CBD you can easily get there by public transport (train)

You must wear clothing that covers your shoulders, neck and legs. Do not forget that it is a sanctuary and you have to respect the rules and traditions

Monkeys are not aggressive, but if they want your things they will take them and they will not leave until they have them. I did not see any monkeys take personal things such as telephones or jewelry but all the people who carried food (offerings) were intercepted by one of these monkeys

Spend a day of your time in the city to visit the Batu caves.

The Menara Tower is another iconic place in Kuala Lumpur, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Atmosfera 360 restaurant, the prices are between $ 30 - $ 70 dollars.

The Tower is one of the viewpoints of Kuala Lumpur that offers us impressive panoramic views of the city at different levels from the top of the building.

To complete a luxury visit, a quality closing is necessary either with lunch or dinner, depending on the time we have entered. The Atmosphere 360 is a revolving restaurant located 282 meters high. A meal of professional cuisine in an elegant atmosphere and with views of the best places in the Malaysian capital.

The tower is guarded by more than 30 security members at all times.
