Itinerary Overview

Trieste is a great city next to the Mediterranean coast and very close to the Slovenian border: The ideal destination for a short trip into the sun. People interested in history can explore the city's rich culture as it belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Free Territory of Trieste and Italy in the past. Our culinary friends will enjoy fresh fish, Italia coffee and Aperol Spritz.  Outdoor fans will be happy exploring its mountainous surroundings and the nearby Slovenian village Osp is a must for climbers from all over Europe. We reached there by Flixbus and one came by train to Ljubljana and then changed to a bus. Weather was perfect and we where all happy to take some time off from university, because the semester start was quite intense. From Triest we took a bus to the outskirts of the city and crossed the border walking to Slovenia, which was beautiful.
