Highs & Lows

Polish people love tourists

Weather is not always the best

Itinerary Overview

Every year, Poland is getting more popular as a tourist destination. Poland went through a very harsh and long history, which makes it's very interesting for potential tourists. I was always a rescheduling trip to Poland for later because I was not really convicted to this country but that was mistake..

Warsaw during II WW was destroyed in more than 80%. Most of the things you will see in the city are basically new or were rebuilt, but anyway you will find plenty of history here. During my visit in Warsaw I went to  the city center and have visited the street called Nowy Świat, you will find there great architecture and many restaurants with typical Polish cuisine. Follow the street, and you will go straight to the Old Town of Warsaw and Castle. On the afternoon  I went to a beautiful park called   Łazienki Królewskie. Park was really well organized in terms of walking paths and had a scenery view on the palace on the water. In the evening  I have checked out the Vistula River which is one of my favorite places to hang out in. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and even dancing places. I have spent there this night and also went for beers with polish people the night after.

During my visit  in Krakow I was impressed with the old town in the city. The square in Krakow is probably one of the most beautiful I have seen in my life. Be sure to walk around this area try some local food like "pierogi". I have done a day trip to Wieliczka which is the biggest Polish Salt Mine. It is fascinating to see how it looks inside. The next day I have done they one day trip to a former concentration camp called Auschwitz. It was really touching experience and the lesson of being humble.

Zakopane is the place where I fall in love with the view from the very beginning. The city is surrounded  by mountains and there is plenty of forests nearby. The thing I most love to do in this area is going for hikes. There are trails where you can get stunning views of the mountains and nature. I have done "Dolina 5 stawow" and it was pretty awesome. During the evening I did hang out on the "Krupuwki" which is the central area of Zakopane and had an amazing dinner there. Traditional food here is great
