Itinerary Overview
Italy, how nice to feel at home again. That's right, my second trip to Italy, completely alone. I left from Buenos Aires and arrived in Fiumicino - Rome - I arrived at night and at the airport most of the stores are closed, you can rest at the airport for the connection of flights, the activity resumes at 5am. The next day, i take a train to Roma Termini, one of the largest stations in Italy, connecting with the whole country with various regional and local high-speed train services. I took an Ibero train which was one of the most comfortable trips and I went to visit my Cousin in Mantova (Lombardia) 45kms from Verona, I went to Reggio Emilia station and I felt in the future, the service is impeccable. There I made the tour of many places and I met again with my beloved family. This just begins now I tell you more!
Q & A
What would you have changed?
I would change my sentimental situation and I would get married in Italy.
Anything go wrong during the trip?
I do not have any criticism or a detail to highlight, on the contrary the people are very hospitable.
How was the food?
All the restaurants and bars in Italy are abundant and the service is perfect. In the north I recommend Baci Perugina chocolate, Kimbo cafe and a lot of pizza, it is very common to find anywhere a Taglio pizza with a can of Coca Cola or a beer, focaccia is also very common to eat a Piadina, polenta is a dish that can never fail, the extensive variety of cheeses and wines made make this one soft. Something more popular with Nutella is the Fritelle, in the Marche region it is the Porchetta: it consists of pork meat, devoid of bones and that has been roasted in the oven. The tradition of Italian cuisine causes the meat to be flavored with various herbs such as rosemary, garlic, fennel and other wild plants. TUTTI A TAVOLA!...Read More
What tips would you give a friend?
Italy is safe where you walk, I recommend the fairs eat strawberries and drink wine in front of the sea. I also recommend visiting Tuscany and getting to know Italy on your honeymoon.
Packing tips?
Buy chocolate, decorations, if you go in winter, bring coats, watch out for seasonal changes and learn Italian!
Transportation Tips?
From the airport there is a transfer that takes you to Roma Termini station and the train service is very good, the cargo ferries are also very accessible and have all the services, I recommend Grimaldi Lines and you can do it from the port of Rome civitavecchia to Barcelona from 20 Euros.
Any surprises?
The culinary art of this country won me over and I surpassed all my expectations, it would be clear that yes, on my honeymoon, this country inspired me to fall in love even more that I relive every day that passes, carry a backpack since it has many stairs in the cities myself I broke my suitcase on the 2nd of my arrival.
