Highs & Lows

I really enjoy the museums and the Christmas market ( Weihnachtsmarkt). I speak German, but didn’t have to use it a lot

Most of my trip was really cloudy and cold but it didn’t rain.

Itinerary Overview

Austria was really fun. I didn’t expect as much culture, nature, food incredible architecture all in one place. I had a wonderful time both times. I didn’t expect to have so much fun. It was amazing, however, at the time I didn’t know a lot about the history of the country, so sometimes I didn’t get some parts of the city tours.  I will recommend you before going there read a little bit, so it gets easier not just walking around, but I also appreciate their culture way better.  I lived in Germany for 1 year, so I was already used to their cuisine, in Austria even though it’s different it’s not that far apart so for me. It was not a problem and I really like a lot of things, but a friend of mine really had a hard time. So if you have any food preferences search before going there.

When I travel with my friends, we travel at night because it is cheaper. We were a group of seven, so it was fine beforehand We checked Google Maps Where was the hotel, and we walk there when I traveled with my family I arrive in the morning. I was waiting for them in a coffee shop, they come, and then we start walking through the city center. On both of my trips, I went to a lot of museums and just try to do as many activities as possible, the only think that changed it was how early I woke up. What were our plans at night? Usually, I travel really lightly so walking around in my backpack was not a problem at all and there are a lot of lockers where you can leave your stuff before getting into museums.  The food was fine, and not that expensive.

Innsbruck was really fun. It was different from the other cities that I have already been to in Europe. I feel like on this trip I was more connected to nature. This city was really beautiful. There was a little restaurant in the center. The weather was amazing. I was there in September and it was perfect. As you get more into the city, it gets a little bit more difficult to find restaurants, cafés, or different activities that are translated into English, so if you know basic German vocabulary, that will be really useful. For all-day walking and climbing, I didn’t get the specific tour, but I did buy a two-day pass for the nature park. They got my name wrong, but it was fine. I carried water and snacks and prepared with the right clothes. It's good to check whether you're fit enough before going into the mountains because some people were not aware how difficult it can get.
