Mia is a writer and drone pilot based in Indiana. She's spent more than a decade traveling the world and 5 years as an expat in Japan, Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), and Costa Rica.
Mia on the Map was launched at the beginning of 2022 to document her travels abroad, tips for newbie travelers, finding work as a digital nomad, and stories from locals. She has a passion for connecting with others cross-culturally in order to deepen her understanding of herself and the world around her.
She believes stories are powerful and that each person has a unique story to tell. Her passion for storytelling and story listening has led her to travel across the United States, gathering stories in the form of a visual podcast soon to be launched in October 2022.

Dream Vacation
My dream vacation would be a 6-month trip to meet all of my former ESL students in their home countries. I would begin in Brazil, head to Turkey and Saudi Arabia, then Japan and China. Fingers crossed for this one! I am an impulse one way ticket buyer so it may happen sooner rather than later. :)
