Highs & Lows

Travelling from city to city in Corsica was majestic. This French island offers marvellous different type of countryside

Weather in summer was perfect during summer for enjoying rivers in mountains as beaches on the costs for miles !

Itinerary Overview

We landed in Bastia on a sunny morning and went to Favone at 2 hours by car. We slept in a house fully equipped and we could enjoy the view from the bottom of the hill on the Mediterranean Sea. Furthermore, we benefited from the ambiance of the locals which supported Italy during the European championship against England. As it finished well for the Italians, the night was festive. 

We moved from Favone to Ajaccio 4 days later by the mountains and discovered one of the two biggest cities on the Island. It was full of people, as we were in the middle of the summer. On nights a large variety of restaurants light the city. It is fully recommended to eat on the docks !

We finished our trip to Porto Vecchio, one of the oldest cities in Corsica. It is full of stones houses and signs of the Merovingian's period. Also, visiting the school army from WW2 is a thing to do.

    I would have stayed longer as there are so many places and activity to do nearby.

    The weather here can change very quickly.

    To scuba-diving as soon as possible !

    Rent a car and road the long of the coasts during hours.
